It's been a few days as I've been drawn to other writing tasks. I was under a deadline to submit some comedy sketches, but now I'm back on task for this book!
I mentioned to my dad yesterday that writing this novel has been more difficult than previous stories because I started with a plot idea, not a character. Normally I'm used to constructing a story around a character and what their biggest challenges might be. This story has taken a roundabout way to that through the idea of a conspiracy theory I found particularly interesting. I made a character through the plot and now I'm going deeper into the character and settling back into my groove of story-constructing. You probably don't care to know all of that, but I find it very helpful to explain my process to myself so I know where to go from here and what to be working on.
